I purchased a DVR subscription, but when entering my email and the first 8 characters, I get an error message of invalid credentials.
Any suggestions?

If you email support@silicondust.com and include the Device ID of your HDHomeRun we will do it manually.

Problem fixed.
With the update the app will now accept your shop password OR the first 8 digits of your activation code as the password.
