Roku Ultra unable to run HDHomerun - tjp

Suddenly my Roku Ultra is unable to run HDHomerun.
When I try to run the app I see the HDHomerun splash screen, then the guide. I select a station and it plays for about 2 seconds.
It then crashes with a error screen titled "Exit_Brightscreen_Crash".

I have uninstalled the HDHomerun app and reinstalled it. But I still get the Brightscreen crash. This used to run just fine, I have no idea why it's crasing now.

I enabled the option to send diagnostic data.

Can you please send pictures that cover the full contents of the error message? Usually it needs 2 or 3 after scrolling to get everything.

I've checked and made sure the Roku Ultra has the latest version of it's O/S (I've also restarted the Roku). Also this same Flex 4K is working fine with my other devices (Android and Windows)

As it happens I just purchased another Roku Streaming Stick Plus 2025 4K for use in another room. So, unlike the Roku Ultra that I was originally posting about I now have a 2nd different Roku to test with. Like the other Roku, this one also installed HDHomerun ver 101.0 build 20250709.
Guess what - I get the same "Brightscript" crash. So something is going on with your app for the Roku.

This has been fixed and submitted to Roku... look for the release to be available Thursday or Friday.

Sorry but that new update didn't fix it.
I now have HDHomerun Ver 102.0 build 20250715 installed on both a Roku Ultra and a Roku Streaming Stick 2025.
They both still crash with the "Brightscript" error.

HDHomerun still works fine on my Android 15 Tablets and Windows (Flex 4K)

The crash message relates to the previous launch. The first time you launch the updated app it will still show the crash message from the time the previous version of the app crashed.

Or is the new version crashing and then showing this message on relaunch?

Yes, I realize that. After the update I have tried launching and re-launching the HDHomerun several times and even restarted the Roku - I still get the Brightscript error. This recent update didn't do anything for my situation.

What are the steps to reproduce?

Step 1: Select HDHomerun app from the Roku home page.
Step 2: Select a channel to watch from the guide.

Does it crash for anything you select in Discover Now?

Yes. The app crashes the same with "Discover"
