My bad. I had thought DDP also used an AC-3 core like TrueHD.
Sadly, the overhaul did not solve the problem. I’m now looking at either the TV or the AVR receiver itself. The GPU is a higher HDMI spec than the receiver or the TV (2.1 for the GPU, 2.0a for the TV and 2.0 for the receiver), so it’s having to dumb itself down to the lowest common denominator. I’m thinking if Inupgrade at least the receiver, I might get that back.
I know there’s AC-3 onboard because I had to restore it from AnWave and I also have the Dolby Access app.
