Re: Win10 HDHR app No Audio

PCM is just plain old regular audio. There is nothing to add for that, as it's just a basic part of the OS and has been for as long as computers have had sound cards. If your system isn't even playing that, then you've somehow mangled the audio path, which I've heard is relatively easy to do on some...

Do you get sound using regular speakers/headphones on the analog output?

Re: since new updates not compatible with router

The Canadian broadcasts (mostly) don't have subchannels and therefore broadcast at a much higher data rate than US broadcasts. If you've got a network or disk performance issue, that difference might be enough to cause issues. Is your router supported by the Asuswrt-Merlin firmware? That's by far th...

Re: hdhomerun_config_gui for macOS

It would probably be easier for SD's app guy to write a new native app from scratch than it would be to replace the GTK library in the Mac version with a newer one that is 64 bit compatible and update the app to support the new features. It has been mentioned that his priority right now is updating ...

Re: Dallas ATSC 3.0?

It looks like the station isn't broadcasting LLS data, which is the ATSC 3 equivalent of PSIP data in ATSC 1. I sent an email to my contact at the station.

Re: Dallas ATSC 3.0?

The station is on-air and broadcasting *something*, but the HDHomeRun isn't seeing any channel data. I sent some captures to Nick to take a look at.

Plex cannot use any kind of storage that is connected to an HDHomeRun. You need something that can run the Plex server, whether that is a computer, NVIDIA Shield TV, or NAS. Plex can use a USB hard drive connected to that device.

Re: Dag-nabit! 5G Interference

The right amount of gain is the amount required by your setup. Some people need a blowtorch like the ChannelMaster CM-7777 with 26dB of amplification. Most don't, and something with less gain like the 16dB of the CM-7778 or the 18dB of the Winegard Boost XT is probably a better option. Some people l...

15.1 is now carried in ATSC 1 on WOOD's broadcast. 15.2 is on WXMI and 15.3 on WWMT.

Does it have guide listings? The record button won't be there if there are no guide listings for the channel. You'll need to post in the guide issues forum to have them add listings for that channel.

Re: ATSC 3.0: Phoenix - Jan 2021

The signal margin is ~24dB below the worst full-power UHF channel, which is a ton. You're close enough to the towers that you could hike up there in an hour or two, so there's still a lot of signal. You live in Ahwatukee which means there's about a 99% chance your house has stucco siding, and the ch...

Re: Audio echo

The best way to do it would probably just be to use an audio editor like Audacity that supports multiple channels. You can see the volume levels on each track, and selectively mute individual tracks and play it back to see what you get. If you mute C, you can still hear the people talking but the ro...

Re: Signal cuts out when turn on things. Interference Firmware?

It's called impulse noise, and it can come from a variety of sources. The biggest culprits are fluorescent lights (especially cheap CFLs), dimmer switches, some LED light bulbs (mostly cheap Chinese shit), and anything that converts electricity into motion, including fans, motors, pumps, and compres...
