Re: Guide not updating
WMEI's listings have now been switched back to the local listings instead of the generic national ones now that the local ones are correct. The Bucks game on Wednesday is showing up correctly.

Re: LG TV Upgrade
Enabling the app for any new models requires approval from LG and such approval has not been forthcoming.

Re: HD Homerun NOT detected on my home network
If it's running on a different range then it's acting as a router, not as a bridge.

Re: Odd subchannel not found in scan but works on TVs
You do have some extremely strong FM signals coming in. Would probably be worth adding an FM trap if you can find one, or maybe a highpass filter that kicks in somewhere between 150 and 170MHz.

Re: New channel - 50266
I have added the generic CHSN listing to that channel. Not sure if you'll get all 3 teams or if blackouts might apply since you're in the fuzzy territory between several teams in all 3 sports.

Re: Odd subchannel not found in scan but works on TVs
Only the original gen 1 and gen 2 models, and the reception performance on those is generally much worse than current models due to the much older tuner/demod designs. If you switch the drop-down from Antenna to Cable and run a scan, that will scan more frequencies including the FM band, so I can us...

Re: Odd subchannel not found in scan but works on TVs
For the scan that was run earlier today, you're no longer getting overload, but you're still having to fight with it being a low-power station at a lower elevation than the major networks. It's also side-mounted on the tower, so there's a good chunk of the Illinois side that will struggle to get it ...

Re: Odd subchannel not found in scan but works on TVs
My guess is the front end has limited dynamic range and is getting overloaded by the stronger signals and causing distortion of all the channels. I then wondered how a TV would deal with the different signal levels. I was able to get all 3 channels (17 (also called 4-5) and 20 and 23) on the TV wit...

Re: HD Homerun NOT detected on my home network
We would like to get some diagnostic data to see what is happening: In a web browser go to http://hdhomerun.local NOTE: That address will go do the first HDHomeRun device found on your network. If you have more than one HDHomeRun device, use the "device ID" printed on the bottom of the uni...

Re: Help with Media Center Loss of Picture.
The 1070 should be fine for cable. You just wouldn't want to buy a new one since it might outlast your ability to use a CableCARD and might have problems if you switch to OTA.

Re: Spectrum Cable Card Working TA not syncing
Tuning Resolver is the technical name and Tuning Adapter is the marketing name. IIRC, the TR spec dictates the wording to be used in the menu to access it. One of those things that was designed by engineers, for engineers. There is nothing we can see in the logs from the TA in this state. It isn't c...

Re: Start RECORD program at Boot in Linux
You can use an @reboot entry in the crontab as a basic way of doing it, but using the DEB file sets it up as a systemd service, which is the official way to do it on Debian. It does nice things like waiting for the network to be up before starting things that require network access.

The DEB package available at viewtopic.php?t=65560 is the easiest option as it includes all the scripts.
