Re: SiliconDust LTE Filter Signal Loss
Televes is a European company primarily designing antennas for use in Europe, and Europe is way behind the US in reallocating spectrum to cellular service. The older models with LTE filters blocks above 790MHz, most of which was reallocated away from TV in the US in 1983. The newer ones block above ...

Re: Scribe Quatro Reboots and Becomes Unusable if Recording Set
The drive isn't completely dead, but it is starting to go bad, and there's at least one place on the drive where it is unable to write to. This is causing the device to reboot, and when it reboots, it won't be available for use until it scans all the recordings, and that looks like it's taking about...

Re: Freeze on Start Up
It looks like this is related to an issue we're tracking internally where the app has problems if there is a mismatch in the parental control rating between the 2 different places where it might be located. This eats up a lot of CPU time and it can't keep up with playback. Engineering is aware of th...

Re: HD Homerun freezes (nearby lightning)
I understand the "politics" of wanting to support ROKU, but can an *engineering* company (which SD has historically claimed it is) justify saying ROKU is anything more than a "tolerated" player, and not a "recommended" player? I certainly don't consider Roku a recommen...

Re: DVR playback stops randomly - craigwillie
Your Android TV device briefly disconnected from your home network at those times. When the network link drops, the OS is forcibly closing any active connections associated with it, including the connection to the HDHomeRun and the diagnostic data logging to our server.

Re: List of Supported devices
AC-4 is covered by the same license that covers Atmos, so it's not a royalties thing (though that shared license does help with it starting to show up in many newer devices with Atmos support). I haven't seen anything that confirms it is possible to bitstream AC-4 though. If it can't be bitstreamed ...

Re: HD Homerun freezes (nearby lightning)
Lightning generates a lot of noise across a wide range of frequencies. TV broadcast signals handle this better than AM radio, where you can hear every lightning strike within like 100 miles, but if the noise is strong enough, it may briefly interfere with reception of the broadcast signals, resultin...

Re: 14su-d keokuk ia channel changes
There won't be listings for MTRSPT1. It's primarily a streaming channel so the company that operates the channel doesn't supply guide data to the providers, and all of the broadcasts are on stations owned by the company that is probably the single worst in existence when it comes to updating the gui...

The HTTP API is covered in our documentation at https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/http_api . All of the ATSC 1.0 standards are freely available on their site at https://www.atsc.org/atsc-documents/type/1-0-standards/ . Transport streams and associated structures like the PAT and PMT predate ATSC and w...

Re: Need info about HDHR device tuner behavior to troubleshoot ATSC 1.0 reception issue
There isn't a log available, and the log data we get probably isn't useful for this as it only logs signal stats every 2 minutes. You would probably want to script something to use hdhomerun_config to retrieve the tuner status much more frequently. When tuning by virtual channel number, the device g...

Re: Flex 4k ATSC 3.0 "Unable to Play channel: No Video Data"
The signal levels are pretty low across all channels. For the ATSC 3.0 broadcast, you're able to lock on to the portion of the broadcast that was being used for testing mobile broadcasts (but is currently unused), but not the one used for everything else, as the signal isn't good enough. What kind o...
