Re: channel navigation

Ok, I did find that log a bit ago and do see some dns failures in it so I'll work on that. But we may be getting off in the weeds? My original beef was not having a method to navigate channels. The app shouldn't be working at all - you should be seeing an error message with the option to retry or e...

Re: channel navigation

The HDHomeRun app supports changing channels (via multiple methods).

Method 1 - press the "move-down" button on the remote or keyboard, then press the select/enter button. This works on every platform that has a remote control or keyboard.

Re: Boston Market no audio with the AC3 on Roku Ultra

What exact model of Roku Ultra? The very very early Ultra that pre-dates the 4800X (which is pretty old now) doesn't decode AC3 and requires that you use a TV/AVR with AC3 support. The cheap Ultra LT model from Walmart doesn't decode AC3 and requires that you use a TV/AVR with AC3 support. Most TVs ...

To clarify, the 1 year requirement comes from DTLA (DTCP).

Confirming that there is no way to stop a recording in progress. The DVR tries really really hard to make the recording happen.

Re: channel navigation

If the remote has channel buttons they work to change channel with a single button press. On platforms/remotes that don't have channel buttons you can channel surf by pressing down, enter, down, enter, ... Pressing up or down opens the on-screen-display, puts the focus on the channel list up or down...

Re: DRM Channels Not Working on Android Devices

One of the DRM requirements is that it must stop working 1 year after it was first activated. When some devices work and others not it will most likely be due to when they were activated. We have confirmed an issue with Android devices reactivating due to a Google dropping support for an API used to...

Re: TECH5-4K ATSC 3.0 TSReader Lite Analysis

What other features do you gain or lose between the TECH5-4K and the HDFX-4K-DEV? If anyone official at SiliconDust could advise, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd like to make a purchase this week... TECH supports scripting typically used to configure it to stream a specific channel to a specific...

Re: TECH5-4K ATSC 3.0 TSReader Lite Analysis

All 4K models support outputting ATSC 3.0 repackaged in TS format via UDP, RTP, and HTTP. The only special requirement is you must tune by virtual channel number or by frequency + program number so the HDHomeRun knows which sub-channel to repackage. TS Reader - as a quick test try saving a 30s captu...
