Problems!

Hoping for some help. I'm modulating a couple of my own HDMI sources into QAM channels and tuning them with my HDHomeRun. Most channels come in perfectly clear and rock solid — but a couple are constantly blocky, freezing, or breaking up.
The source I'm using is a HDMI to QAM modulator output onto coax to the HDHomeRun.
Since some channels are flawless and others aren't, I don't think the whole chain is down. It feels like something specific to those channels. What usually causes this — signal level on those particular channels, an overlap/frequency thing, or a splitter/cable issue? Anything simple I should check first?

We would like to get some diagnostic data:

1. Please go to http://hdhomerun.local
2. If it tells you that a firmware update is available, please install it
3. Click System Status
4. Check the Send diagnostic information box
5. Go back one page
6. Click Channel Lineup
7. Click on Detect Channels

Reply back to this post and provide us the device ID of your HDHomeRun and we will check the logs. You can find the device ID on a label on the bottom of the HDHomeRun itself.

Also tell us which channels are having issues

I watched a YouTube video from someone also doing this, it could be problems being too close to ota channels or cell phones using those old frequencies. Do you also have an OTA antenna on that cable as well?
Also mods, can I post a link to that video? If not search for "Broadcasting my own Cable TV Program | Cisco RFGW-1-D Homelab Setup & Testing" That might be a little beyond what you are doing but maybe that will help.
