Hello all,
I wanted to see if there were plans to disable the Slice Guide in the HDHomerun App for Google TV/Nvidia Shield? We previously were able to disable it, then the option went away. I prefer the traditional grid guide and would like to go back to it.
Thanks,
Peter
HdHomerun App/Google TV and Slice Guide?
Re: HdHomerun App/Google TV and Slice Guide?
The HDHomeRun app has a full grid guide. From Live TV simply press the back button to activate the grid guide.
Slice guide serves a different purpose - to see what is on right now on other channels without having to channel surf or interrupt viewing.

Re: HdHomerun App/Google TV and Slice Guide?
I understand the purpose of the Slice Guide, but I still prefer the traditional grid guide to be my default viewing experience.
In previous releases, I had the option to switch between the Slice Guide and the traditional grid guide. When using the grid guide, the current channel would continue playing in the background while I browsed other programming, which I found to be a much more user-friendly experience.
Will the option to make the traditional grid guide the default ever return? Additionally, is there any plan to restore the ability for live TV to continue playing in the background while viewing the guide?
Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate the continued development of the product and would welcome the return of these features.
Best regards,
Peter
