Cannot exit HDHomeRun app running on Galaxy S9 phone

I'm new here so maybe I missed something. But I need my phone back quickly so any help is appreciated.

The HDHomeRun app shows the "Live|Guide|...|Tasks at the top. To the right there is the time and a gear icon for settings, nothing else.

Guide is the default selection and I have the full list of channels down the left, with time slots and program info for most channels. A few say "NO GUIDE INFORMATION AVAILABLE".

I can scroll down to the last channel but at no time in any of this do I see an X box to close the window and return to the main Android screen.

When I go to "Discover" and select one of the displayed items, I go to a second display with info about the show and an X in the upper right which takes me back to the main "Discover" window.

I have gone through all the listed items in the top header. Selecting "Live" drops me into a playing video which also has an X in the upper right, which takes me back to the "Guide" window.

There are no other X icons so I appear to be stuck.

Two swipes from the edge of the screen toward the center gives me a popup with exit/cancel buttons.

I should have mentioned the phone is running Android 10. It does not have a side swipe from the right feature (I tried with several different apps).

I do have a Lenovo Tablet running Android 13, which does have the side swipe function and using it I can exit HDHomeRun.

My solution will be to remove the app from the phone and only use it on the tablet.

The s9 had a hidden home button area which can be hard to use when not used to it... I finally traded mine in for a "free" s25 last year so I can't check (but I'll see if I can dig up another as i thought I had 2) but from what I recall there was an option to change that to swipe gestures that I needed for a few apps thus kept it on that setting. I have seen some android devices change directions of swipes and what is bottom center based on orientation that can be difficult when the whole screen is swipe to scroll in the app... If giving you problems I'd try on a non guide screen (including while being in live) that doesn't scroll in both directions if you try swipe gestures.
