some of the channels stopped working on windows 11. I live in Madison, WI, and all of the lower channels, main sub-channels are not working: 3.1, 15.1, 21.1. When I switch to them the application hangs and I have to click x to close it. The minor sub-channels (3.2, 15.3, etc.) and other channels (27.1, 47.1, 57.1) are working fine. I've reset the app, reinstalled the app, re-scanned the channels and restarted both the tuner and the computer, with no change. The app continues to work perfectly on my mac and on my ipad, showing all of the channels as expected. The windows machine is connected via ethernet cable to the same router as the tuner. The mac and ipad are on wifi (same router).
This is the product name of my tuner from the amazon listing: SiliconDust HDHomeRun Flex 4K ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV: 2/4 Tuners HDFX-4K
Since I am here, I am not happy with some re-positioning of the buttons in the recent version. For a while I could not find the favorites star, which just disappeared. I found it some time later by accident, within the "search" button. Now I have to click the search, then the star, to get to favorites. This is worse. Also, the ctrl-w or ctrl-q (or similar, on both windows and mac) can no longer close the app as instead the search is activated when I type those and either w or q is entered into the search field. This is not ideal. Also I saw this elsewhere, and I agree. Please make an option to remove of permanently mute that obnoxious splash screen.

Re: some channels hang on windows
The HDHomeRun app uses hardware video decode support where possible. Start by installing the latest GPU drivers directly from the AMD/Intel/Nvidia website matching your GPU.dimaxq wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:38 am some of the channels stopped working on windows 11. If that doesn't fix the problem please enable "send diagnostic information" in the settings menu of the HDHomeRun app, try playing a problem channel, then post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun.
The change was necessary for left/right navigation to make sense. We have to prioritize remote controls as that is the most common input method.dimaxq wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:38 am Since I am here, I am not happy with some re-positioning of the buttons in the recent version. On Windows the standard keyboard shortcut to close an app is Alt-F4. The app doesn't have any Ctrl commands. Still, I will check to see if we can avoid catching keys with Ctrl pressed.dimaxq wrote: Fri Feb 27, 2026 7:38 am This is worse. Re: some channels hang on windows
thanks for the hint about the driver. It appears HDHomeRun does not like vsync=fast, which I have set (among others). It works if I use any other vsync option (off or on) or if I set "use application default" in nvidia settings.

Re: some channels hang on windows
The stations you mentioned are all 1080i (interlaced) channels, though I haven't seen the problem, I have read s few reports that nvidia broke deinterlacing mpeg2 content in its drivers a couple of months ago and when trying to find those reports none seemed to mention which cards were affected only the driver number... you may wish to try an older driver and see if that changes things.
