W11 HD Homerun App no longer displaying video

My (3) W11 machines have stopped displaying video on all channels. Have tried repair on Windows Media Player, but still no video. Channels strength, & quality are above 79. Channels display fine on Nvidia. Anyone else having an issue with Windows 11 HDHomerun app ?

W11 machines running version 25H2, Security patch KB5072033, Net Frame KB5067931 Running legacy Windows Media player version 11.2510.7.0

HD Home run app version latest from Microsoft store.

The same for me on Windows, video gone but audio present. The HDHomerun app version is dated 20251227 (1.1.459.0) on windows. Of perhaps more inportance, the video is gone on my Android phone, too, and the audio still plays. Th same is true for my Fire TV.

The on-screen program list still shows as does the on-screen setup info (volume, time left, etc.).

Having same issue. Notice an update today, 20260105a (UI). Can view video on HDHomeRun Config GUI and VLC media player.

This is an update to my previous post.

My smart LG TV can access my HDHomeRun Prime device (HDHR3-CC) as a media device. I can see the video and hear the audio on the LG TV. So, the video is being delivered by the Prime device. The Windows 11 media player does show video for the channels but there is no audio as the latest Windows 11 versions do not support rhw AC-3 audio format.

Same issue for me on Mac Mini M4 sound an no video.
Also on my Macbook Air M4. Sound but no video.
iPhone 16 also has no video.

Video NO, Audio YES. Running a MAC here. Audio is good, but there is no video. This started today, January 05, 2026. Tested using recently recorded and old files, both HD and 4K versions of files.

Now I noticed video has stopped working on one Chromecast and the Nvidia player pro that worked earlier. The Channels DVR on both systems still display antenna hd home video. Very strange!!

If you quit the HDHomeRun app and reopen it then everything should be working again.

Not strange at all... nearly all platforms for the app (notable exception is roku) rely on getting the UI from SD when it starts and the 20260105a UI has the bug that does such (according to some it is essentially overlaying a dark gray box over the video, as they can see a line or two of the video playing on some of their devices). so your choice it to not use the HDHomeRun app (and use anything else), or use the roku app, or wait until the UI gets updated with the fix.

Most devices are now pulling in 20251227b again which doesn't have the problem

Same problem here. Works on tvOS but broken on iOS and android Samsung tablet. Audio plays and can see video around the border. There is some kind of overlay blocking most of the picture. Closing and restarting the app has not worked.
