Black screen watching live TV via HDHome

I use the HDHomeRun app on a TV (via an android box) and on Windows PC. This had been working fine for several years,
But today while I can see the App menus fine but when I select any channel to play the screen is black but I can hear the programme sound.
This affects both Windows 11 app and Android app.
I have tried restarting HDHomeRun box and the apps without any change.
I can view picture if I connect using VLC app

Any ideas ?

I don't use record feature so cant try playback

Same problem but Fire devices.

Some UI element seems to be rendering above the video. We're looking into it now and will have a fix ASAP. Since this is a UI issue, the fix should be automatic and not require an app update (just a quit app and re-open, once we have it fixed).

Can confirm UI has rolled back to 20251227b and problem is resolved for me
