I hope this isn't flagged by the forum rules. Just happened to see one company appears to have navigated A3SA to come up with a solution to the gateway problem.
Hopefully this opens the door for SD to get their product certified and working as intended!

So far there's nothing in there that actually mentions DRM. They mention security and stuff involving the signing certificates, but not DRM (both are handled by A3SA, as they are currently the only approved venders for DRM and cert signing for ATSC 3.0). Even using "NextGen TV" trademarks doesn't mean DRM, because DRM is seen as an "optional" feature for NextGen certification (a third thing).
The fact that they worded it so carefully seems deceptive. Even if they do mean DRM, I'll believe it when I see it.
