New Flex Duo - scheduled recordings, doesn't record.

Post by WhenenRome »

Already submitted a ticket on this, but checking to see if I might be missing something.

Just setup a new Flex Duo today with 2TB HDD drive attached. It's the only HDHR device on our network, and activated annual DVR subscription. Viewing through Roku Ultra on HDHR app, Live TV seems fine.

So I've scheduled different programs to record at different times, but they're not recording.

The two programs do still appear in the Task list - they're series recordings, but the Recorded list is blank.

In case this is related or helpful: During setup, I wasn't able to access the HDHR system menu through either the generic or device number URL's - I had to go through the network IP address. Btw, the HDD drive is showing as recognized.

And there's been a recurring crash / restart app / BrightScript error message that happens whenever I schedule a new recording and attempt to change the "all channels" field (submitted a ticket on that, as well).

I can check a few things... what is the Device ID of your HDHomeRun?

Nick, you replied almost as fast as your support team! Device ID is 10971A1A - but I think we're resolved with the recording issue. Unplugging, waiting, and plugging back in seemed to let the HDHR tuner recognize that my DVR sub was active.

The problem with the BrightScript error crashing is probably a more solid concern. Your team had me screenshot the error page for them to share with Roku. The ticket number is 241047, if you want to check that out. But so far, excellent response from all of you. Thank you, Nick.
