Record ATSC 3.0 on Hisense U7

I have a Hisense U7 TV that has built in ATSC 3.0 tuner. In a recent firmware update, they added the ability to record live TV if you have a USB storage device attached. I live in Houston area and have several 3.0 broadcast stations of which some are DRM encrypted. It does not give me an option to record any of the 3.0 stations, even the ones that are not encrypted. The TV does let me watch the DRM encrypted stations. The recording option is only on demand, you cannot schedule recording.

I find it odd that it is programmed to not let me record 3.0 stations that are not DRM encrypted.

I'm told this feature is very popular in sets sold in Europe and elsewhere (cannot verify), but not at all in the US. Neat addition for Hisense.
