Shield DVR recordings accessibility.

I'm using my 2017 Shield as a DVR engine and it is working well. I do experience one very minor issue. I watch DVR'd news broadcasts first thing on the TV in my kitchen. I think because lately I have been sleeping a bit longer my Shield is asleep when I go to the kitchen for breakfast. TMI I guess, but prior to recent days I have had the TV on and likely Shield awake when I get up for the day from snoozing in my Lazy Boy. Lately, my news recordings are not showing in the HDH app on my kitchen TV. It didn't take long to realize the recordings were being made, but contrary to normal days the Shield is sleeping and I need to go wake it to access the news recordings in the kitchen. Maybe I'm being a bit picky, but does anyone know of work around? First world problem.

I don't have a Shield, but maybe turn off or adjust the auto turn off setting? On my Onn Google TV box:
