No channels working, no guide, can only see/play recordings - support called me back - one of the guide server database servers went down and they're working on it - hope to have it back up in the next few hours.

I hate this “update” in so many ways.

The UI update is completely unrelated to the short guide outage we just had.

It's more than the guide data for me. Everything related to guide and DVR is down (guide data, images, dvr tasks, recordings are blank, etc.). It's essentially a full outage.

EDIT: It's back working now!

Nick is moving servers. There's a fallback server, but it looks like things didn't automatically fall back. If you are still having issues then it might be a DNS delay, as records update/propagate.
