New guide-centric UI approach
Re: New guide-centric UI approach
So CEC remote users have no way to exit the app?
Re: New guide-centric UI approach
Pressing back enough times will bring up a prompt to confirm you want to exit the app.

Re: New guide-centric UI approach
On Saturday around 1:30 a prompt to exit was added to fix it... the original reason for adding the prompt years ago was that there was often delay on remote presses and it was too easy to hit an extra back, that feature was removed a while back to require only pressing back enough times to exit. Recently on the new guide centric ui, a person reported pressing back exited when they did not realize they were on that top menu (again remote presses can lag on some devices so it is very possible to not notice such) so nickk had that fixed with back not exiting which caused no way to exit without a home button (and restarting that way came to where you left off thus things could be off) so the exit confirmation promot got re-added which does exit properly.

Re: New guide-centric UI approach
By any chance is your top item a one off recording? Those are always at topRWFarley wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 12:20 pm Minor Bug Report - Cannot change priority of top Task.
The Task list on my PC and Android App does not have the "Up/Down" arrows for the top task. I cannot "promote" other tasks to the top. I can rearrange all the rest.
Thanks

We are adding favorites to the grid guide.
Favorite channels will show at the top of the guide as the first channels, followed by all channels.

This will be a welcomed change!nickk wrote: Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:19 pm We are adding favorites to the grid guide.

May we also get the "Start in Recorded" option back as well?

That should already be there, I just needed to change it back after the latest UI update.Jsherman wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 10:22 am This will be a welcomed change!

Re: New guide-centric UI approach
While we are at it, let's put the Live option back. It wasnt hurting anything.

I think they did. (Hope it wasn't an accident).paulsaz wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 2:27 pm ..and please get rid of the splash screen, or at least the sound.
I had to force a stop of the HD app and clear the cache. Then the splash screen went nicely away.
Worked on multiple Firesticks and android.
Re: New guide-centric UI approach
Clearing the cache simply means it needs to download the splash again.Thunderthud wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 2:34 pm I think they did. (Hope it wasn't an accident).

Re: New guide-centric UI approach
Looks like the option is there, but it is not working on either of my Android devices. I change the setting, close out of the app, go back in and I am brought right back to the guide.
Re: New guide-centric UI approach
Interesting. I have not had that issue on my RockTek G2 (SEI804) or Xiaomi TV Stick 4K.Jsherman wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 9:57 pmLooks like the option is there, but it is not working on either of my Android devices. All are in recorded view on startup.
Re: New guide-centric UI approach
Hmm. To add to this, I am also seeing this on my windows machine as well. I have rebooted the docker on my server and reinstall on Windows, same issue.Thunderthud wrote: Fri Aug 29, 2025 6:30 amI have it opening fine on all of my devices.
