no tuners found WIN11
Re: no tuners found WIN11
Any VPNs installed?
Single router/access point or something more complex like a mesh network?
For the Windows laptop, right click on the Start menu icon and select Network connections, and make sure it shows Private network under Properties at the top.

Re: no tuners found WIN11
My laptop is on private network and I do use a mesh system, Nest wifi Pro. My devices that are able to work with HD Homerun Flex 4 all have the same setup as the ones that can't find the tuner. Can't find what the problem is.
Re: no tuners found WIN11
I am seeing the same or very similar with my Win 11 laptop and old HDHR3-US. The app on Onn Google TV and iPhone works normally.
I hadn't used the Windows app in a few months but reinstalled and tried to use it yesterday and noticed this. From the text behind the splash screen, I see it finds the device but then I get the pop up 'No HDhomerun tuners found .... Retry Exit'. Both tuners on the device are available. I can access the device from a browser and from the hdhomerun_config_gui + VLC and setup utilities from the laptop.
The PC's network is Private, all devices on the same subnet through a single router setup. No VPN installed. Using the router / ISP for DNS.
I've tried power cycling all devices. Turned off Windows Firewall. The PC is on Win 11 Pro 25H2 with all June updates (July not out yet for my Dell.) Tried Reset and Repair in Settings->Apps -> Installed Apps - HDHomerun. Did a full network reset in Windows settings.
The only possibly helpful thing I found was that I *was* able to get the app to work by uninstalling both app and the Windows utility suite (config_gui, setup) then reinstalling all and doing a fresh scan in setup. The app will start and run normally once or twice, then it's back to 'No HDhomerun tuners found .... Retry Exit'. I reproduced this reinstall scenario three times.
Edit: I did the reinstall a fourth time. Didn't bother with a channel scan in setup.
App launch 1: no tuners found
App launch 2: app opened okay. I turned on diags in settings.
App launch 3: app opened okay.
App launch 4 and 5: no tuners found.
ID: 103BB097
Tested starting around 1218 eastern time. One tuner might have been in use at that time - forgot to shut it off. I can read discover.json on the device and the LineupURL in a browser.

Re: no tuners found WIN11
If your ISP-provided modem/router has wifi, is that wifi turned off?Gianni wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2026 12:00 pm My laptop is on private network and I do use a mesh system, Nest wifi Pro. Do you have a VPN on the laptop, even if disconnected?
Re: no tuners found WIN11
The only logs I am seeing are from what are presumably app launches 2 and 3 since the device was found on both, nothing after that, even when looking by the IP address the logs are coming from. If you go into Windows Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks, can you delete all the saved networks in there except your main home network and see if that changes anything?dash37 wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2026 8:43 am I am seeing the same or very similar with my Win 11 laptop and old HDHR3-US. Re: no tuners found WIN11
When I did the network reset, it removed all saved networks. I set up the main wifi network connection and had only the one when I tested with the diags on.jasonl wrote: Sun Jul 19, 2026 5:44 pm

I'll revisit this later in the week after some travels. Maybe try with a wired ethernet connection on the laptop instead of wifi. Can't let Windows win.

First, apologies for sidetracking the original post. Thought it could be related with the similar symptoms.
Did more troubleshooting of 103BB097 between 1230 and 1400 Eastern time on 7/22. The app did not work initially, but now works most of the time with everything back to their original configuration. Hard to make any conclusions as to what exactly is failing sometimes. The uninstall/reinstall temp fix on a five year old Windows box hints at rot from all the updates, upgrades, etc over the years. Somewhat different behavior of ethernet versus wifi versus firewall suggests an intermittent, unidentified networking problem.
FWIW, my notes...
