I am a very long term HDHomeRun user. I have a long running issue with excess rumble levels coming through my subwoofer when listening to OTA programs. This rumble is not audible when listening to the exact same channel with YouTubeTV. I have never been able to get to the bottom of this. I asked CoPilot to help me and it did a pretty good job summarizing and suggesting solutions. All of my speakers are level matched with a sound level meter.
I would like to see HDHomeRun address this by including a High Pass Filter and/or Low Shelf EQ option in the settings to address this issue. I feel this could be a very simple implementation. The HDHomeRun app is the only app where I experience this issue. If HDHomeRun is not willing to implement this feature, I would be interested to understand why this is not possible. I have copied the AI summary below. Thank you.

OTA Subwoofer rumble noise
Re: OTA Subwoofer rumble noise
Guessing you have 5.1 or 7.1 speakers and you are watching a channel that only has stereo sound.
If the channel is stereo and you have a subwoofer the HDHomeRun will send audio to the subwoofer with a 3db cutoff of 80Hz.
If you hear a constant rumble it suggests the TV channel may have low frequency noise present on the audio track.
BTW - I would recommend going into Settings in the HDHomeRun app and set the Speaker Configuration to either Digital Passthrough or the setting that matches the number of speakers you have. This will improve the stereo to 5.1/7.1 upconversion. Without this setting the HDHomeRun app has to limit upconversion to basic approaches that can be downconverted back to stereo.

Re: OTA Subwoofer rumble noise
I already have the settings set to 5.1 in the app. It does not help my issue. It would be nice to have some more options. It really is annoying and does not occur in any other app that I use. Thanks.
