Help! In NW DFW

I purchased HDHomeRun plus Shield TV Pro (4K HDR Android TV). I also purchased a WD Elements 1TB HDD. I got HDHomeRun up just fine. It's Plex that is giving me issues.

I am in round 3 of installing and can not get anything to work together. I'm sure it is all operator error and that I am making the same stupid mistake over and over and over. Is there anyone in NW Dallas County/S Denton County that has time to help me uninstall, delete files and walk me through setting up everything together again?

First is to make sure everything about the HDHomeRun and your TV reception is right...

1) Install the HDHomeRun app from the app store.

2) HDHomeRun app, Settings menu, Channels - run a channel scan. If there are channels with red bars (poor signal quality) you can disable them by clicking on the channel twice so it shows a red X.

3) Check that live TV is working in the HDHomeRun app.

My HDHomeRun is running great. Antenna and channels are great until I can afford to get a really great antenna installed in the attic.

My issue is I can't get the Plex to recognize my server or DVR record. I think I am making the same mistake over and over again in setup and need someone to talk be through setup.

Are you trying to get the Plex app connected to the HDHomeRun's DVR, or are you setting up a Plex DVR using Plex Pass? Plex won't read recordings from the HDHomeRun when the DVR storage is a hard drive connected directly to the FLEX. It can read recordings if the HDHomeRun DVR storage is on a PC or NAS. If you have a Plex Pass, then you will want to skip the HDHomeRun-branded DVR service and use the Plex server as the DVR.
