Roku issues

I have an Express 4K on one TV and a 2yr old Roku TV.
On both, the LiveTV channel display along the right side of the screen no longer displays when I push the up and down buttons.
If I press the return button (top left, with a left pointing arrow) and view the guide and select a station, now the guide will appear on the right side of live tv.
Is this a feature or a bug? It wasn't always this way

It is a bug, specific to starting in Live TV. A new release will be out in the next 2 weeks.

Workaround - go into the HDHomeRun app settings menu and set the Starting page to Guide.
