Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
Re: Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
The Apple TV app is tripping up on DRM channels, not showing any channels if the tuner has one or more channels that are DRM protected.
A new app release will be submitted to Apple today or in the morning.
Workaround - go to http://hdhomerun.local/lineup.html and disable any channels that have the DRM tag by clicking the star to the left of the channel twice to turn it to a red X.

Re: Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
Thank you. I just got a new Macbook with the M5 chip and it will initially see the the three tuner device with the cable card (don't remember the name of the device) but after a few minutes of playing it will freeze up, and when you restart the app, it shows that box crossed out. If you reinstall, you get the same issue.
Hopefully you'll get this fixed quickly. Thanks.

1) Are you running app 20260112? (check in the Settings menu of the HDHomeRun app).tkrotchko wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 6:49 pm Thank you. The workaround works for me. Thank you!nickk wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 2:12 pm The Apple TV app is tripping up on DRM channels, not showing any channels if the tuner has one or more channels that are DRM protected.

Re: Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
We have two Apple TV 4K devices. The latest HDHomerun works fine on the Wi-Fi device. It fails on the Ethernet device. Disabling the DRM channel allows the Ethernet device to work again.
Re: Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
The Apple TV app problem has been fixed and a new release has been submitted to Apple for review.
Workaround while waiting for the release to be approved - go to http://hdhomerun.local/lineup.html and disable any channels that have the DRM tag.

Re: Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
I don't have any that show a DRM tag like I did a few months ago however, I still can't get it to launch on AppleTV. Interesting.
*edit*
I went ahead and disabled all channels that were not within 30 miles of me and I am up and running.
Thank you!

Re: Apple TV app release 20260112 problem
Thanks for the notice nickk.
Question is, will this version be pushed to all existing Apple TV users or do we need to remove our broken AppleTV app and download the new version from the app store?
I expect the latter, just trying to confirm.
