Syracuse NY - Channel Changes

Post by WSTM-WTVH-WKOF »

A network affiliation change occurred in Syracuse NY on December 1, 2025:

WTVH 5.1 (UHF 18 ATSC 1.0) is now ROAR, and is correct in the HD Homerun guide.
WKOF 15.1 (hosted on UHF 18 ATSC 1.0) is now CBS, and shows "NO GUIDE INFORMATION AVAILABLE"
WKOF 115.1 (UHF 15 ATSC 3.0) is now CBS, and the guide incorrectly shows "ROAR Network: LMU Student-Run TV"

Source: I am the Director of Engineering for these stations. My device is: 10A38F1D FLEX 4K

Thanks!

Ooops, I missed one, although it doesn't really matter because it was already corrected. But, for completeness:

WTVH 105.1 (hosted on UHF 19 ATSC 3.0) is now ROAR, and is correct in the HD Homerun guide.

These are now updated in our listings. You or whoever at your location or corporate normally deals with the guide providers may want to contact Nielsen/Gracenote and ask them to add the WKOFDT listing on channel 15.1 to the broadcast TV lineups for the zip codes in your viewing area so that it will also be correct for others who are using their data. Currently, the WKOFDT listing is not on a single broadcast lineup, only cable and satellite.

Thank you for the fast response! It's great to see the correct listings now. I've passed your zip code comment on to Corporate. If we had done that already, would the HD HomeRun listings have updated without your manual intervention?

Yes. It would first try to match by virtual channel number+TSID, which would fail since it's channel shared on WTVH. It would then match against whatever zip code lineup was determined to be the closest by our system, and would succeed there if it was set up correctly with GN. If there is no match in the first two, or if it is wrong because GN's data is out of date, then we can manually fix it as long as a suitable listing exists somewhere in the system.
