Need HW troubleshooting help please
I have the 3 tuner HDHomeRun. I've been very pleased with it for many years. Just recently (past couple of months), it won't be recognized by my W11 Pro computer. I have the 4 green LEDs on the left side. I have two LEDs on the right side. They are green and red (solid, not blinking).

Which lights are specifically green and which are red?
Re: Need HW troubleshooting help please
Looking at the front of the device,
Four lights on the left side are green, then, the two on the right side, left LED is solid green, then last LED on the right side is solid red

Re: Need HW troubleshooting help please
That doesn't line up with the LEDs the PRIME has. At most it has five LEDs total, two on the left side, and three on the right side.

Re: Need HW troubleshooting help please
To be fair, the user never stated a prime but that is the only 3 tuner device I am aware of (the expand that is similar but not cablecard has four, repurposing the OOB tuner as a regular qam tuner (but every image I saw of such never showed a 4th tuner led) and the way the led's were described would have been for some 4 tuner model (not 3) and all the devices I'm aware of the lefts and rights in the description would have been reversed (I think there was an old tech model that had 4 then 2 but most images I see would be 2 and 4 (while the prime would be 2 and 3). Probably would be best to list the model number and/or deviceID to make sure everyone is on the correct page.

Or better yet, take a photograph and post it along with the model number and/or deviceID.
Re: Need HW troubleshooting help please
I can look up the device ID based on the forum user's IP address, it's a PRIME, and was last seen by our guide server back in June 2025, and is about 11 years old. So the red LED is most likely the network LED.
Re: Need HW troubleshooting help please
Thank you all for all of your help. Especially helping me to figure out which model of device I have (PRIME)
First a mistake on my part. There are indeed only three LEDs on the left side (not four)
Then it gets a little strange. Until this evening, all three of the left side LEDs were solid green. Now, none are lit
The two right side LEDs are solid GREEN / solid RED after my PRIME has gone through its power-up sequence.
the GREEN LED flashes about once per second for a few seconds while restarting - and then goes to SOLID GREEN
Ned, I realize I have a quite old device. I was looking through your website and couldn't find a troubleshooting/configuration/user guide. Does this still exist in pdf format? If so can you please email to me? I'm most interested - for now - on the definition and color/blinking patterns of the front panel LED's
Again, thank you all very much for your help

Still think you have your lefts and rights reversed though i guess it could be upside-down
The led and troubleshooting info typically can be found at https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/prime:faq
The first in is ethernet, the 2nd led in should be for the cablecard.. what brand cablecard do you have and who is your provider? Did they recently do a high split? Are they still supporting cablecards as a few no longer do (I've even heard areas of Verizon fios that offer 2Gbps+ service no longer can support such). Other providers have, which have done a high split won't work with cablecards unless a hsc is used (can only get from provider if they even offer them).
Only time i think I've ever saw solid red cablecard led, and to be honest I don't think it can be red, was when someone managed to insert card upside-down (don't just flip the card, make sure it's going in the correct way, damage to card or device can happen) and possibly another with a bent pin not going into card, but again I don't think that is ever red but there have been a few variances in led's used (including all the latest batches that didn't have any tuner led's).
Since my particular neighborhood is fiber (was rfog) they decided not to update every onu (each house) to support high split so essentially they had to drop rfog thus cablecard support and switch everyone to iptv so I haven't worked as much with hsc to know if it could somehow produce a red cablecard led after such switch... it can also be you are indeed referring to the 1st led since your lefts and rights seem confused.
