All of a sudden I am getting this error message on Roku when I select the HDHomeru app.
Unable to find HDHomeRun tuner on local network...
But, when I select the HDHomeRun message exit the channel works fine.
I do not see this message when using the android HD app.
Model HDFX-2US
Firmware 2025815
Roku 4850X-Ultra
Software version 15.0
I have tried resetting every thing but no change
Error message on Roku
Re: Error message on Roku
A few days ago I started getting the same erroneous message. I'm getting it on my (recently purchased) Roku Premier but do not get it on two other Roku Streaming Streambar devices. It's just a nuisance but annoying.
Re: Error message on Roku
I started getting the Same error message today on Various device. On my Roku Tv's I can hit the exit option in the error message and get into the app. On my windows 11 PC when I click on exit it closes the software so that make it useless on the PC. I did write the support team and included screen shots of the error so hopefully there will be some fix to this.
Re: Error message on Roku
Yep, me too. All mu Roku devices say this same thing. Roku TV and devices alike.
Error
Unable to find HDHomeRUN tuner on local network.
Please check that your HDHomeRUN tuner and this
device are both connected to your local network.
* Retry
* Exit
The over the air channel comes up under this eventually and I hit exit.
I don't recall a recent upgrade of anything, but looks like it happened on 10/30/25
Roku version - 15.0.4 Build 5534
HDHomeRUN version - 107.0 - build 20251030
Hopefully it is in the works for a fix. Did several HDHR reboots.

Re: Error message on Roku
Update: After removing my attached USB DVR drive which was full, no more error messages. Problem solved? We shall see.
This problem began after the recent firmware update.
The firmware update broke HDHomerun on all my Roku devices including my Roku TV and Roku Ultra.
It works on Windows 10 computer and my Hisense Android TV but with minor issues, like it just jumps out of the app for no apparant reason. Then it can be immediately restarted no problem.
On Android phones and tablets, no problem.
I read somewhere that it might help to rescan the channels, so I did, and I think there is a significant improvement but the whole problem is not solved. I still get the unable to find the device error message but the app is running behind it. Just click exit.

Re: Error message on Roku
I too am having this problem. Anyone from Silicondust here to comment on the likelihood of a fix?

Re: Error message on Roku
I'm having the same problem. I find that if I just click the back arrow the error box disappears and the regular screen displays. I can look at live TV the other features, but I cannot record anything. Particularly bad timing since I'm a Youtube TV subscriber and was going to depend on this system to record my ABC shows now being blocked.
Re: Error message on Roku
Same here, BUT I found that I can add ESPN Unlimited to my DIsney+(no ads) Hulu (no ads) ESPN+ for a mere $8.00 / month more than I was paying for the bundle. You can see many ABC programs streaming the next day on HULU. Surre, I would much rather that Youtuve TV come to terms with Disney but in the meantime, the use of HDHomerun and the Disney bundle is a right nice workaround.jdarby46@yahoo.com wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 10:51 am I'm having the same problem. It is only Roku devices that are affected by this broken app. If you have an Android TV or phone or tablet or Google Streamer, you will see that the HDHomerun app works fine there.
I spoke too soon. The new firmware update has broken the HDHomerun app everywhere except on my Android tablet. Is there anyone at SiliconDust aware of this? If so, what are you doing about it? How can I roll back to the previous firmware while you are working on a fix?

Is anyone paying attention to this?
