Not powering on or like a bad drive? The drive is fairly easy to replace, just three screws on the bottom of the case, and two more screws that hold in the 2.5 inch SATA HDD. HDD needs to be no more than 7mm high. A skinner SSD would work, otherwise just make sure you don't get an HDD taller than 7mm, and be sure to preserve the thermal strips from the PCB and hard drive to the metal plate (it's okay if they rip, and we can send you some if you lose them).

Thank you, Ned for this information. It just shows (not found), I am guessing it is the hard drive. Strange because hard drives seem to last forever for me.
Not sure it is even worth replacing the HD for me, since it is only used as a backup. Too many other options for a DVR server on my system....... Since I already have two or three (or more) external powered drives, it would probably be better for me to just purchase one of your refurbed Flex units.
