I'm experiencing this on Mac OS Tahoe 26.1. I can access the tuner(s) on my android phone, and mythtv frontend (backend running on linux) works on all devices - including the mac - that I run the frontend on. Mythweb works using either the backend's IP4 address or the hostname. The HDHR app is the only application that exhibits this behavior.
One issue I have not seen addressed in this thread regarding the MacOS: the location of the configuration files for the HDHR app on the mac. In situations like this the first thing I usually do is look at the configuration settings on the local machine.
Being able to access the configuration files would obviously help us in being able to address this issue.
I realize that the vast majority of users have no interest in poking around in the app's configuration settings, but some of us have had experience doing this sort of thing and are more than happy to help solve this problem. Not particularly happy about having to think about it of course - we just want to use the app.

Do you have the latest app version installed from the App Store (not the version available on the Downloads page on our website)?

It turned out to be a setting that had somehow gotten change. Looked everywhere but the obvious place. Security and privacy. "Allow app to see devices on local network?"
