Record from Android - jdarby46 (was "Error message on Roku")
Can't record from my Android tablet either. If I can't record anything, this I is useless to me since I can WATCH over the air directly on my TV.

What is the "Device ID" for your HDHomeRun unit? "Device ID" is printed on the bottom of your HDHomeRun unit, and you can also find this ID by going to http://hdhomerun.local

By the way, the link you gave doesn't work. I get this response:

We are not seeing an active DVR subscription associated with the device or under your email address. You can order the subscription from our shop site at https://shop.silicondust.com/shop/produ ... /software/ .

I've been using my HDHomerun device since 2021 without any subscription. Don't think lack of a subscription anything to do with the current issue which affects other customers as well as me.

Not true. I've been recording and viewing on my laptop with the HDHomerun App, on my TVs with the Roku App, and have on ocasion use the App on my Android phone since 2021. All have worked perfectly (except for sound on older sets) until about a month ago. Whether I have a DVR subscription has never been a factor. The DVR subscription has always been an enhancement, not a requirement. Recording is the primary function of the device, and no longer works.

It is a requirement for recording with the official app without a subscription the engine is limited to be only a buffer.
