Not seeing channels in Homerun vs TV

Post by Martianman »

I just got a Flex, and when hooking it up, I only see 5 channels vs 15-20 channels I see when I run the antenna directly to my TV. Is this some weird DRM thing or am I not doing something correctly on the setup? I've tried scanning channels multiple times, and checked RabbitEars to confirm I should see a lot more channels. Then I put the antenna back on my TV tuner and instantly got all the channels I was looking for.

Also, the guide worked fine, and now when I click on any channel, I get a "Unable to load video" message. I turned it off/back on again, re-scanned channels, etc. And it shows me in the guide what's on, but I can't view anything (I literally was able to like 20 minutes prior when I first hooked it up). I also updated the firmware to the latest, and I have a USB for DVR purposes that I formatted. It seemed to have stopped working after I added the USB stick.

EDIT: I'm on Version 20251013 (App) / 20251110 (UI)

We would like to get some diagnostic data:
  1. Please go to http://hdhomerun.local
  2. Click System Status
  3. Check the Send diagnostic information box
  4. Go back one page
  5. Click Channel Lineup
  6. Click on Detect Channels

Reply back to this post and provide us the device ID of your HDHomeRun and we will check the logs. You can find the device ID on a label on the bottom of the HDHomeRun itself.

Thanks--support got back to me. Apparently my amplified antenna was a bit too amplified lol. I unplugged the amplifier and now have 47 channels.
