Known problems with 20250815 ?

Post by FlyingDiver »

I have to Flex 4K units. I just moved to a new house, and connected them to the antenna. When I connected to the web interface of the first unit, I noticed the firmware update notice, so I did the update (to 20250815). After it restarted, it still remembered the channels from the old house. I attempted to do a channel scan, and the button does nothing.

I connected to the second unit, and did NOT do the update. It's still on 20250623. It scanned and found all the new channels.

So either the firmware broke the first one, or it coincidentally failed during the move.

Is there a way to force a downgrade to old firmware? Other suggestions?

Thanks!

Not tracking any issues like that. The firmware update will trigger a reboot, and if a component is old or defective, then that reboot can be the final push needed to cause it to fail. Let's get some more data:

  1. Please go to http://10A76934.local
  2. Click System Status
  3. Check the Send diagnostic information box
  4. Go back one page
  5. Click Channel Lineup
  6. Click on Detect Channels

Reply back to this post and we will check the logs

It looks like the device is rebooting when the scan is run, which often indicates a power problem. Please try the supply from the working device with the problem device and see if it behaves any better.

Will do. I'll also compare the two supplies. It's possible that during the move the wall warts got mixed up and I have the wrong one on that device.
