It seems the disk is full which is irritating
since I requested over 2 years ago that there should be a way to state how many episodes you want to keep! Without that feature I have to remember every few months to go through and delete old episodes of stuff that I'm confident my wife has now watched. Please, please, please add a feature to keep n episodes and when n+1 needs to record you simply delete the oldest recording of that show. It would totally solve the problem.Now that I've pruned a few things I'll see if this happens again.
