What happened to live + guide? why is GUIDE button / word missing

What happened to live + guide? why is GUIDE word missing - Windows 11

Explained ... I could have something playing in the background and tap inside the screen, the guide list column would appear on the right, the normal options at the bottom of the window (play controls, volume, max/windowed/x and GUIDE)

The word GUIDE would be there at the bottom and I could tap that ... to get the FULL guide screen but my channel would CONTINUE to play in the background.

Now, without the guide button (word) at the bottom, I have to click the X in the control area at the bottom, and then it stops playback and only THEN do I get a full guide on my screen, capable of moving forward in time to see what else is going to play on any channel in the guide. But this also stops playback!

I don't want this .. I want to be able to have the GUIDE over-lap the screen with the continued audio playing in the background .. or even use a picture in picture window to continue to show the channel I'm on .. and show me what's up on the guide..

EVERY SINGLE SERVICE PROVIDER NOT Silocon Dust .. seems to do this.. and this app USE TO do this .. so what gives?

eg, comcast, cox, directv, dish, every major player out there allows channel AND content display .. but after a recent update.. this is stopped or gone..

I can't find any recent posts about this, nor find any options in the setup program for the hdhomeruns.. (2 .. I have 2)

I totally agree with the complaint about the missing availability of the guide. Why would you remove that functionality from the app? Can I remove this latest update and go back to the prior version?

The UI is optimized for remote controls. You can now get to the guide from Live with a single button press (the back button).

I think they are asking for the audio to keep playing in the background, from the last live channel, while the guide is on screen?

Most other things when you bring up grid guide (or "backstage view" when coming from live) would continue play live in a reduced windows above guide. I believe the guide button on the bottom bar used to overlay guide over the currently playing video and thus also have audio (i prefer slice during live so didnt pay attention) . When they went to the guide centric ui, the guide button was essentially the same as back and live and even the buffer stopped (will have to check if current state of buffer now continues a bit but doubt it).
