I just signed up for a new DVR subscription. I'm using the Apple TV app. When I go to set a recording from the guide I click on the "Set Recording" button but then nothing happens. When I go into Tasks it does not show that anything is scheduled to record.

Everything on your account is set up correctly.
I just tested Apple TV and it seems Apple TV is not creating recording rules correctly.
My team will fix this on Monday. In the mean time you can use your phone (Android or iPhone) to schedule recordings.

Yes. Hopefully we will have a patch release out by the end of the week.

I'm having the same issue...new DVR subscription and I can't record anything on the AppleTV app, but I can record from the iPhone app.

I have found that once you set the recordings on your phone you can then watch them on the Apple TV. So the bug is specifically related to the scheduling.
