Why can't we turn Slice Guide off now on Sony Google TV

Why can we not turn the Slice guide off in setup like we have been able to for years in a Sony Google TV?

That option has been deleted. The slice guide is illegible.

The regular guide only works with the selected favorites!

When you select a channel a the blue line with the pause, and other function remain on the screen until you press the back button!!!

This is unacceptable! You have taken turned my OLED A80K Sony into an awkward piece of junk!

Everything still works as normal on the cheap Roku and Firestick in the other rooms.

Can you get this to work on Google???

We now provide the best of both, with grid guide available at the touch of a button (press back in live tv to bring up the grid guide)

You should see your favorite channels first, followed by all channels. The recent change was to add favorites - a much asked for feature.
Verified here on my on my Sony TV.

Nothing comes to mind as to what might cause the problem you are seeing.
Checking, do you see all channels in the live TV slice guide? Do all channels show guide data?

You still have grid guide, it has been improved (favorites), and it is accessible at any time from live tv with a single button press (the back button).

No the all channels guide is no longer available on a Sony A80K

Removing an option to delete the slice guide and putting the button to access on the back button is not an improvement

Please correct this or give us an option to upgrade to an earlier version of the software the functions with a decent, professionally designed user interface.

If you are only seeing favorites then something is wrong. I can help figure it out.

In the Live TV screen, if you press UP or DOWN button, it brings out the slice guide on the side. In the past that can be configured to bring up either grid guide or slice guide. I think that's what OP is complaining about: don't want to see slice guide ever.

Would like that as well. Prefer Grid guide only option as before.

Ditto here. It's always been off for me and now requires hitting back first then up/down. Before long the back button will wear out on the remote. Just like the animated splash screen, we will likely have to get used to the slice guide.
