OS 26 issues?

Has anyone been having issues since the update to os 26 on Apple devices? I just can’t seem to be able to watch anything anymore …

You also might wish to be more specific about "apple devices" as I have not yet heard of anything other than some macs having issue after updating to "26"

We are not tracking any issues with iOS or Apple TV running 26.

Apple broke something in MacOS 26 resulting in reduced framerate playing video. Video still plays. We are working on an alternative solution now.

Hey there, thanks for your answer! Alright, so I didn't specify a device because I have the app installed on all the available devices, and I have tested them all before writing. I also updated everything that could be updated before writing. For this troubleshoot, let's focus on the Apple TV 4k, which is the main device I use and the one I did the troubleshooting on, beginning to end. What I observed was that at first it looked like everything was frozen, like it stayed on a black or grey screen for a long time, something like 10 minutes. Then, after I had already even forgotten about checking, I saw the screen on the TV change to the recordings screen. This made sense to me when I looked at the time. When I turned on the TV, it was almost towards the end of the local news, which is set to record. As soon as the recording ended, the screen came on and I could watch the news that was recorded. The same thing happened just now with Good Morning America, as soon as the regular programming ended, the recording screen came on. No live TV is playing at all. I had already noticed other channels not playing anymore on previous days, but I don't really care because I don't watch TV for anything other than the news. So anyway, this is all I can share.
