Can’t record

Post by wisconmd@hotmail.com »

Hi

Since most recent firmware update I cannot record new shows. They show up as scheduled but nothing new under recorded tab. I have a flex 4k that has worked flawlessly until last week. Is this a software or hardware problem? Old recordings still viewable. The drive is an older 1 tb hdd. Any replacement recommendations? Local cbs just added drm so there’s that too…..

Check to make sure your subscription hasn't expired... Ensure there is enough space to record.

By new do you actually mean new episodes or older episodes that may have previously been recorded. Here at this time of year there is very little that is actually new but premiers are slowly starting up (though some have been delayed until october) as a result many things you may think it should be recording it actually previously recorded so won't record again if you still have it or previously deleted through app and specified to record again.

If you are recording to a NAS or PC rather than directly to a drive on the flex, there are some logs you can check in the recording folder that may also offer a clue.

Subscription just renewed
Its nfl football so of course it’s new recordings
Hd says 37% full
Drive enclosure connected directly to flex, the flex 4k connected to network.

I can check a few things... please enable "send diagnostic information" in the settings menu of the HDHomeRun app, then post back with the Device ID of your HDHomeRun...

Your renewal payment failed, causing DVR to expire.

Log into the shop site and check you account - you should be able to renew from there:

that would cause local recording failure? My guide is still working. I'll check my account and make it right.

CC expired, renewed now.
