I apologize if I'm in the wrong topic area, but this is the only place I could find a "New Topic" button to post anything. I've been a happy user of HD home run products since the first one was offered for sale decades ago. I have a problem with my latest one that I would like to be sure is failing. The 8-digit number that shows up in the HDHomeRun App is "10805B57 CONNECT 4K". I use my system to record over the air local channels with a fixed antenna. Over the past year or so I've noticed that the recorded channel has gradually degraded from perfect, to some pixelation, to a lot of pixelation, to unwatchable with the sound cutting in and out. Meanwhile, the built-in tuner on my TV, running on one coaxial cable from the antenna through a splitter, has always given perfect ASTC 1.0 reception on all of the available channels. I thought it might be a loose connection or problem with the NAS until it became unwatchable on my HDHomeRun system. I just continued on with it until yesterday. It was then that I got the bright idea that perhaps rescanning the channels would help. Before I did that I saw more than 20 channels showing in the list. When I ran the scan all of those channels went away. As it is today, I can watch any of the recordings that have been on the Nas since before yesterday, but I cannot watch live TV or do anymore recording. I tried rerunning the scan on my Android phone, my Xbox, and several of my Windows 10 PCs with the same result. I now suspect that it may be my HDHomeRun Connect. Is there anything in the HDHomeRun App that would allow me to see if the Connect Tuner itself is the issue? Today using the HDHR App I clicked the bar that says "Send diagnostic information" if that helps at your end.
Since we have ASTC 3.0 here north of Tampa FL, I am considering getting an HDHomeRun FLEX 4K. However, as an old retired guy on a tight budget, I really don't want to end up with two good tuners that work and the problem elsewhere in the system that won't allow me to use either one. That's why I'm asking if there's a way for me to be SURE that the fault lies with my old HDHR unit
Best regards, Jim Fox

The channel scan shows little to no signal on any channel.
What antenna are you using?
If you are using an amplifier or the antenna has an amplifier built in, check that power is plugged in.

Re: Has my old HDHR Connect Tuner Failed?
Thanks for the quick reply Nickk,
When I bought the Connect 4K in 2021 the old Connect Quatro I purchased in 2018 was still working, it just didn't have the 4K or ASCT 3.o my new TV was capable of, so I removed it. On a hunch I just rummaged through my silicon dust boxes and found that dusty unit. I installed it in place of the connect 4K and now I have my channels back without any pixelation. That shows me that it was the connect 4K tuner that had failed. With that information I'm now going to order the HDHomeRun Flex 4K. I appreciate your dedication keeping the HD home run system alive.

Re: Has my old HDHR Connect Tuner Failed?
When an HDHR tuner gradually goes bad the most likely cause is its external power supply. If you have another PS with the same voltage and the same or higher current capability, give it a try. If you buy another PS I recommend one with a higher current capability than required because as it starts to wear out it still works well with the HDHR's lower current.
