When you exit live TV it should now put you in guide (on the current airing), that way if you press select you will get back to live TV.

Thanks!

It does do that now (goes to episode list while the one i was just watching live highlighted).

It would be nice to still somehow have a way to have the functionality we had with the previous 'Live' to click on while in the discover screen for when I've been checking what's on and then want to return to the show I was watching.

I appreciate your quick responses

New issue on Firestick and MiBox. Can no longer exit app by hitting back several times. Stuck at guide. Have to hit home to get out.

That is a very serious problem for me that was probably brought about by when nickk said they would fix back exiting the app (when the person didn't realize they were on that top menu)... that particular exit behavior of just hitting back to do so was brought on long ago by no longer prompting for exit after back, personally I liked such feature as I always prefer backing out of an app but if needed to not intentionally back out can at least deal with such a prompt. An alternative would be a real exit button in the menu and bonus if it can also be on the lower menu bar while watching live tv. If it comes down to it, put an option in settings to exit the app (my least favorite method, much like I can't stand exiting netflix).

I only use CEC and my remotes home button only works for the TV not android so I have no access to a home button on android.

Same on RockTek G2 (SEI804) with vanilla Android TV. As of today, I can no longer exit the app at all with the back button. Please fix!

On both the Fire Stick 4k Max and my Fire Cube 3, after changing channels from the guide, the banner appears at the bottom of the screen. It does not go away by itself. I have to hit the back key to clear it. Very annoying.

Same behavior on Google TV Streamer. No way to exit app other than hitting HOME button on remote.

This is intentional - every Android remote should have a home button to exit the app.

So the app will only detect devices or download the UI files when it leaves memory on its own or is killed?

Except I use my tv's remote with CEC so home only works on the TV not the android box.

Yes Nick... But, doesn't hitting home leave the HD app running in the background?
Would feel better being able to exit the app and free up resources. And also as Cabal says "to redirect devices" if necessary.

Now, after exiting via pressing home and the coming back later going back into the app...
There's "no guide information available.. .
Stuck on the last channel viewed, with the current time period highlighted. Can't press ok or back.
Have to move up then hit back, which heights " Guide" then ok, putting you onto that highlighted channel...

Then hitting Back brings you into the guide that is now populated.

Has happened multiple times on multiple devices.

I also use my TV remote with CEC and can't exit the app. It's a dumb TV so I don't even have a home button to also not work.
