Remote reboot Prime

Post by JMN57 »

I am remote from my serveer/prime and had a power outage. My cablecard is stuck logging into Comcast:
Card Authentication in-progress
Card Validation in-progress
3DES encryption not ready

and I have created a trouble ticket with Comcast.

But I also would like to be able to reboot the Prime remotely (ideally via a Windows 11 machine that is local but I also have TrueNas and QNAP boxes on the local net).
I see online that "hdhomerun_config <device_id> set /sys/restart self" will work but I don't know where to download the utility.

So, any help on remote reboot of a HDHR Prime would be appreciated.

Thanks

Adding - I am trying to get to the SiliconDust install directory on my PC. Have installed app on a w11 PC but when I go to Program Files or Program Files (X86) there is no SD directory. The app does open. I have no idea where the install sits and a search on the drive for SiliconDust doesn't find anything.

The hdhomerun_config utility isn't included with the HDHomeRun app. It is included in the HDHomeRun software for Windows. You can download it from Silicondust here:
