Upcoming (to be recorded) shows for the day are showing up in the front of the “All Recordings” list in the Recorded view before their recordings even start. This never used to be the case and is confusing because when you click on the show to drill into the episodes view there is no new episode to watch. It only shows already watched recorded episodes from weeks ago. This show should not sort to the front of the “All Recordings” list. It should sort to the location of the most recently recorded episode for that show as it has done in the past.

BUG: Upcoming Shows Sorting to Front of Recorded View - 20250702 UI
Re: BUG: Upcoming Shows Sorting to Front of Recorded View - 20250702 UI
Are you entering episodes view from Recorded or Discover?
If you enter episodes view from Recorded you should see the Recent group selected by default.
If you enter episodes view from Discover you should see the Upcoming group selected by default.
If you enter episodes view from Recorded you should see the Recent group selected by default.

Re: BUG: Upcoming Shows Sorting to Front of Recorded View - 20250702 UI
Sorry Nick, I missed your reply.
The issue isn't in the episodes view, it's in the "Recorded" view (DVR view). What I meant was that the icon that represents the show itself....the one you click on to enter the episodes view... would show up at the front of the "All Recordings" list/strip of shows in the "recorded" view when an upcoming episode is to be recorded that day but before it has started recording.
EDIT: So if you jump into the Recorded view to watch something, you'll see a tile for the show near the front and think, "there must be a new episode to watch." But when you jump into the episode view for that show you discover, "I've already watched all of these episodes, including the latest one that was recorded last week....but one will record later tonight." But that defeats the whole purpose you jumped into the Recorded view in the first place....to find something you haven't seen yet. If you jump back out, and then follow the list to the right of that show you just might find something that was recorded yesterday that you haven't watched yet.... but then you think to yourself, so why doesn't that show's tile precede the tile for the show that will record later tonight in the recorded list? Anyway, I hope this helps clear things up

Re: BUG: Upcoming Shows Sorting to Front of Recorded View - 20250702 UI
Please enable "early access to new features" in the HDHomeRun app settings menu - if you are missing recordings this will fix it.
If you are in Recorded and click on a show you are taken to the Episodes view.
The promoted episode is the most recently recorded episode, or if that has been fully watched, it is the next airing. This provides a fast way to find out if there is a new episode to watch without scrolling.
If you scroll down you will see all recorded episodes that you can watch, same as the old UI. There won't be any upcoming airings in that view (unless there are no recordings at all forcing the UI to display upcoming).
Or on the left you can change the view to Upcoming or change the view to a specific season with ordered episodes.
