In the past, when looking at the Recorded tab, shows that had been recorded recently would show up at the beginning of the All Recordings list.
Now, it seems to be mostly in alphabetical order (on Windows 10 version 20250430).
Mind you, this did not happen with all shows even in the past. I often had SNL far to the right even if the show was recorded today. I could never find a rule for this behavior.
I also used to notice that the list was arranged differently on Android versus Windows 10.
What am I seeing?
Has the sort order on the Recorded tab changed?
Re: Has the sort order on the Recorded tab changed?
More recently, the sort order seems to have changed again slightly. While most the All Recordings line is alphabetical, there are now four shows, all starting with "S" at the front of the list.
These shows have not had new recordings since April, so it's odd that they've now migrated to the front of the list.
My expectation is that the newer recordings would show up first. What is the expected behavior?
This was observed on two Windows 10 PCs; my Android phone shows a completely different ordering of show under All Recordings .

No change - All Recordings displays shows in most-recent-first order. The category Shows displays in alphabetical order.

Re: Has the sort order on the Recorded tab changed?
I have always seen the All Recordings for the most part show by recent recording. The other lines are alphabetical. Note that I have often seen the All Recordings line behave as if it only shows results from one recording engine (or at least not all recording engines) but whenever I look in "shows" (or other line) it does list such newer recording for that show.
SNL is often listed as NEW even if it isn't so you may have had a recent recording but not sure if that is one of your S's you mentioned but was an S listed before.

I also expect to see the most recent shows at the beginning of the list, but that's not always the case.signcarver wrote: Fri Jul 18, 2025 11:40 am I have always seen the All Recordings for the most part show by recent recording. SNL is one of the "S' shows. The most recent recording of SNL is from May 17th. SNL is a strange case, as even during the regular season when there are new episodes, I must often scroll far to the right to find it.
Another "S" show is Sherlock. The most recent recording is from April 30th.
A month ago, these shows were not visible from the initial screen.

It is the combination of all record engines, order by the start time from the guide. New vs repeat is not relevant... the only factor is the start time of the airing.
