I have an M1 iMac with the HDHomerun app installed. The DVR is on a Flex Quatro with a USB drive installed. So the only thing on the iMac is the Hdhomerun to watch live tv or recordings. I have recently had some health issues and want to use the iMac as my TV in this room. I'd like to have a remote of some type to change channels and volume and it would be awkward to use the Keyboard or mouse from the bed.
Has anyone got any ideas for this?
Thank you in advance for any ideas.
Remote for an iMac.
Re: Remote for an iMac.
Not in terms of something like a universal remote that can talk to the iMac. However, if you don't mind using another Apple device, like an iPhone or iPad as a "remote", there's apps that can make the iOS device act like a mouse and keyboard to the iMac. Go to the app store search with something like "remote mouse" and you should find different options.jph1589 wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 11:06 am I have an M1 iMac with the HDHomerun app installed.

I've used this one in particular, with good results:

Thanks for the input. I installed it and followed all the directions and it wont connect the two. I kinda knew it wasnt going to be that easy.
