HDH App on Linux

Any progress on making an app to use on Ubuntu, Linux that does not require what seems an absurd amount of geeky activity to load a single station on VLC for example? I mean a native app that functions the way the app does on Windows and now Chrombooks I discovered. I had no idea how well the app from the Playstore functions on my Chromebooks.

We support HDHomeRun RECORD for Linux (32-bit and 64-bit x86, 32-bit and 64-bit ARM) but no HDHomeRun player app at this time.

In VLC select Universal Plug'n'Play from the docked playlist to see all the channels.
