I like the new splash screen but PLEASE give us the option to disable that LOUD OBNOXIOUS startup sound. It's the third most annoying sound in history, only slightly behind the TXH "Deep Note" sound and fingernails on a chalkboard. It makes me not want to launch the app at all.

While I appreciate the improvements I feel that a startup animation is a step back. I would prefer an option to disable it entirely.

I would like to turn it off too. IMHO, splash sounds are a complete waste. I know what I am using. It consumes memory and makes the program larger than necessary. I quit using my favorite browser because the splash screen would reinstall every upgrade and boom without my knowing.

Please. There needs to be a way to disable this startup animation or at least the sound.

Where are you seeing and hearing this? I have the client on a Win10 machine, 2 onn devices, 1 Android phone, 1 Android tablet and none of them make a sound when starting.

If you are not seeing the startup animation on Windows then you are using an older version of the app. Best is to uninstall then install from the Microsoft Store so it will auto-update in the future.

There is a known issue on Windows where the previous app volume is not applied to the startup animation. This has been fixed and is pending release.

The Android / Fire TV app does not have the startup animation at this time.

That fixed it nickk. Looks like I still had a 2023 version. While colorful, I don't think it's really necessary.

So the startup animation and audio turns out to be just a solution looking for a problem. Any plans to give customers a way to disable/skip this startup animation?
