My Flex 4k was already upgraded to the 20250506 firmware, so trying to install the beta firmware did not work for me, but I am still getting "Unable to play channel: No Video Data" on all of the unencrypted 3.0 channels (105.1, 111.1, 113.1) except 112.1 (JTV). Powering off and rescanning more than once has not affected anything. How do I solve the problem?

I can also verify the problem. I live in Orange County and 105.1 , 111.1, and 113.1 all have unable o play channel no video data. They were working on beta firmware on Goole TV but all of a sudden are not.

Can you please make a 60s format=dbg capture of the channel by downloading this link:
http://hdhomerun.local:5004/auto/v111.1 ... uration=60

If you have more than one HDHomeRun replace "hdhomerun" with the device ID.

One saved please upload to a drive site such as Google Drive and then PM me the share link.

I have saved a file as requested but the bulletin board system will not allow me to send messages. How do I get around that?

I sent a private message with a link to the file, but it is still in the Outbox. I don't know if that means it hasn't been sent yet.

Outbox means it hasn't been read (opened) by recipient yet.

The capture is tiny, suggesting these stations are off air.

Can you please run a new channel scan while I take a deeper look at the capture.

I can confirm that ALL of the LA ATSC 3.0 channels are "down", despite what appears to be a 100% signal strength.

All five LA ATSC 3.0 non-DRM channels present "unavailable, no video data" on my Flex-4K. I have done a re-scan and all channels are detected. Looks normal, except it doesn't work. All latest up-to-date firmware and software and client app. Confirming the SD Flex-4K results, these same non-DRM channels are also not tuned and present black screen with no audio on a "competitor's" product.

All two LA ATSC 3.0 DRM channels should normally be handled properly on the "competitor's" product. But also, black screen and no audio for these two ATSC 3.0 channels (NBC and CBS).

Probably some technical work going on at KCOP tower and/or KCOP encoder, which affects all ATSC 3.0 channels.

I'll try and reach out to my engineering connections at two stations.

Thanks. With the new firmware, I wasn’t sure if WTTG would have a DV or not now. For me it does not. I suppose that could be because it is DRM encrypted, but wasn’t sure if it could still determine DV or not. The channel being discussed with DV did not have DRM enabled.

Fox 145.1 has more than 6 for audio channels, but is doing 720p. Not sure if it’s (faux) HDR, but it is not showing a DV in the UI for me after a rescan.

I can confirm that the channels I was not receiving (105.1, 111.1, and 113.1) are all now working normally. One thing to note: I was always able to get video and sound on 112.1, but the guide says it's supposed to be Jewelry Television (JTV), but the channel that comes in on 112.1 is Guadelupe Radio TV. I don't know if it's a problem with the tuner or the channel guide, but it's clearly not JTV.

I can also confirm that all ATSC 3.0 channels have returned to normal operation.

My engineering contact at KTLA responded to my email yesterday, saying that he had called KTTV (for some reason?) about my problem report, and that "they were looking into it". I would have expected him to contact KCOP who handles RF13 and the encoder, but who knows. Maybe he was just contacting his counterpart at KTTV to see if they, too, saw the symptom.

(EDIT: I've learned that KTTV and KCOP are both owned by Fox. So presumably he was contacting the one-and-only main engineer for both stations, and in reality that engineer no doubt is responsible for the common encoder used for all the networks in LA, which is very likely where the culprit truly was. I'm now almost certain this is why things suddenly got fixed overnight.)

No matter. The fact that all channels have now returned to service, after being out of service for almost a month, almost immediately after my reaching out to them yesterday... well I suppose it could be coincidence, or maybe they actually did just yesterday "look into it" as a result of my contact, having unbelievably not done so for a month on their own. Who knows?

Anyway, things are absolutely now back in service, including non-DRM as well as DRM channels, on Flex-4K as well as "competitor's product"..

Interestingly I now see that KTLA (11.1 / 111.1) as well as KCOP (13.1 / 113.1) now produce "HDR" badge on my LG C9 (i.e. "faux HDR"). I had seen KTTV as HDR before but I don't recall that KCOP was also now HDR. But then I never watch anything on that channel so maybe they've been HDR for a while now, like KTTV is. Nevertheless, they now are. And NBC has been HDR since the Olympics last summer. That leaves only CBS and KTLA still non-HDR.

Most of the ATSC 3.0 FrankenFMs had JTV just to make a few bucks from the TV side, but apparently they found someone else to lease that channel. Our guide provider doesn't have a listing for that channel, so I switched it to a generic religious programming entry instead of JTV.
