I installed the recording engine via the q0.8.8 package. I also installed the new DVR UI through the link provided within the post linked above, using the QNAP as my web server (UI version 0.11.1). My HDHomeRun Prime is running the most current firmware (20160630atest2). All of the default locations for the config file location, record path and port are being used, and confirmed via the UI still provided with the package installer (UI version u.0.9.0). I can also verify through the UI that HDHomeRun RECORD is running (record engine version 20160630atest 2). Via either web page, I am unable to see any recordings. I am able to see recordings through ****, the Windows 10 app, and other iOS / TVoS apps (Channels Beta for Apple TV if I use an older record engine, InstaTV beta for Apple TV and iOS). The DVR Web UI provided via the other thread reports that 0 recording engines are found. Going through my.hdhomerun.com/discover, no StorageID or StorageURL is shown. Uninstalling the package then reinstalling it does not change this. I had earlier used ssh to rename the the installed record engine and copy an older record engine (20160426) to maintain compatibility with the Channels app, and thought that might be the issue, but neither replacing that record engine with the one initially provided with the package installer, nor reinstalling the package helped. Any help that can be provided to get this to work would be appreciated.
The fact that the UI is saying the engine is running and you can see recordings on your clients I suspect it is simply as @avdp put it... U need to wait for it to update.

To get recordings we pull the discovery info, so if its screwed up there, u have to wait for it to reset. Am guessing the reverting to old engine screwed things up and you're going to just have to wait for it to reset. It also could be the time between ols nas and new nas caused issues..

If u can seen recordings on clients, all is well.. You just need to wait for SD servers to update.

Its toward the top 1/3 of the list, because the 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8 builds have a "q" in front of the number. This one is the number only.

It appears that it may have to do with running SSL as I found a description from googling information about the icon:

"This is usually from mixed content, as in the resource is on http:// and the page is on https:// . There should be a shield on the location bar you can click to turn on "unsafe" or "mixed" content. It could also just be from a broken file, as in it is corrupted or 0 bytes or something."

Recordings and all still work, just can't get to it from the QNAP interface. Nothing has changed with my setup, locations are all default, and I did try uninstalling and reinstalling as well.
The page is served by the qnap webserver.
Check the settings under control panel-> applications-> webserver...
Make sure its enabled.
Works for both SSL and non-SSL, remote and local.

If that doesnt help.. Check that the /share/Web exists and there should be a softlink called HDHomeRunDVR here that links to /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/HDHomeRunDVR/ui
For some qnaps the CACHEDEV1_DATA may be MD0_DATA or similar.
I just came across this error when I upgraded to 0.9.1. I reverted back to q0.8.5 and the error still existed. So I went back to 0.9.1 and went to Control Panel -> Applications -> Web Server, then clicked the Maintenance -> Restore button and it now works. I wonder if there is something that could be done that is less extreme? If anyone has any ideas, post them so we can troubleshoot next time this happens...

I dont touch the php or apache installation.
So if something goes wrong - it's outside my control..
maybe something else in a cache or other is getting corrupted somehow.
Have yet to see it happen on my TS-651

I've downloaded about 10 of these builds always hoping that I was doing right by clicking the last one listed because they were all named HDHomeRunDVR_...

It wasn't until today that I noticed there was an option to toggle between Grid View and List View. Am I the only one that has been slow to figure this out, or are the Microsoft browsers the only ones that display the downloads like this in the default Grid View?

Hello Demonrik. I am having trouble with installing the package on my Qnap NAS TS-451+. I am very new to using a NAS and Linux so please be patient. I have been able to get the DVR up and running on my Mac and Amazon Fire TV using **** plug in so I can watch and record TV. I originally tried following your instructions on setting up the Qnap package on my NAS as per your instructions below and got it to load in the App Center but when I open the app, it is blank. I am not sure how to perform #2 below. I also tried doing some diagnostics as per your other posts to reach the config file but it says access denied. So, I could use your help if you could give me the newby version of your instructions with more detailed step by step. Thanks!

Build Instructions
Once you have cloned the package to your system ..
1. cd to the qnap project directory
2. Run the fetch_record_engine.sh script to get the latest DVR binary from SiliconDust
3. Build the QPKG with 'qbuild'

I think I now understand your original instructions a bit better now. You have laid out two options - 1) using your prebuilt qpkg and 2) builders can create their own builds (github doesn't have the latest binary from silicon dust). I followed your prebuilt qpkg instructions and am getting that blank UI.
