We would like to get some diagnostic data to see what is happening: In a web browser go to http://hdhomerun.local NOTE: That address will go do the first HDHomeRun device found on your network. If you have more than one HDHomeRun device, use the "device ID" printed on the bottom of the uni...

Re: HD Home run unable to play channel unspecified error
The signal quality is pretty bad across all channels. I'd probably start by trying another power supply, because the combination of the age of the devicea nd the poor signal quality tends to suggest that the supply might be starting to go back. The replacement supply needs to be exactly 5V and at le...

Re: Weatherproof box outdoors?
I wouldn't recommend it. The HDHomeRun is designed to operate at a maximum of 104 °F ambient, and a hot day in Florida combined with the heat from the device and limited ventilation will likely exceed that. There's also the not good idea of running ethernet (which can't be properly grounded) outdoor...

If you're running macOS Sequoia with all its stupid Windows Vista style permissions prompts, you have to make sure any applications that access anything on the local network have the Local Network permission turned on in the Privacy and Security settings.

Re: Freeview UK: Support for hybrid streaming channels
Yes, the timeshared and streaming channels have similar appearances in the broadcast data, so filtering them isn't currently possible. Disabling them is the best option. They should all be in the 250-300 range, except for the handful of kids channels (207, 209-213).

The signal graph page at https://rabbitears.info/tvdx/signal_gra ... r1/KRCW-TV paints a better picture of the outage.

Re: WiFi vs ethernet connection
Adding more wireless hops greatly increases the chances of network problems. It's less of a concern on competing devices that are transcoding the video to a lower rate, but with the HDHomeRun sending the original unmodified stream, it starts to be an issue, especially if you try to get 4 streams goi...

Re: HDHR FLEX QUATRO - ACCESS AWAY FROM HOME
You'll need something like Plex or Emby for remote access. Most people who don't want to leave a PC running will look at a lower midrange NAS with an Atom or Celeron CPU that has an Intel GPU that can do hardware transcoding, as that will provide the best results. Review the Plex NAS Compatibility l...
