Some of you might do well to find the thread for your area on avsforum and ask there if others in that region are having freeze frame problems on certain channels (probably a broadcaster issue) or night time reception problems (probably a tropo/weather reception issue.)

The 207 MHz (RF12) signal is ASTC 3.0 and KSAT (112.1) is DRM encrypted there according to rabbitears, so it's not in play.

That antenna should be okay. Mounting it outside, if not already, would be best as building materials can degrade the signal. And weather affects antenna reception - no way ...

Speaking ATSC 1.0 here, KSAT is broadcast on KLRN's RF9 signal. Do you have an antenna suitable for high-VHF channels?

No problems here. iPhone SE3, iOS 18.5. Tested multiple live ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 channels. No recordings to test.

VLC doesn't support the AC4 audio codec used by ATSC 3.0, so silence is to be expected with those channels.

For kicks, in VLC, you can compare Tools -> Codec Information for a few ATSC 3.0 channels and see if there are any big differences with the Kids channel. Normally you'll just see the HVEC and ...

Easy enough to check if they are DRMed. The hdhomerun app will give you the 'usage restrictions' message front and center if you try to tune an encrypted channel. Or open http://hdhomerun.local in a browser and look for DRM in the channel list.

There is nothing wrong with WRC ATSC 1.0 or 3.0. The rabbitears server was up and down the past few days, accounting for the data gaps seen in its Live Bandscan.

You are not receiving the WRC ATSC 1.0 signal on RF34. You have a reception problem there. That is where you'd find the 4.x and 44.x ...

It is probably worthwhile to just get an inexpensive streaming gadget at this point - for over-the-air in the US, the onn google tv 4k boxes are a safe bet.
