Windows Task Manager would have told you what process was using the network (edit: ... if the process was still running.) Sure sounds like something was tuning in a channel on the hdhomerun from the pc. TSReader or somesuch.

No problems here. iPhone SE3, iOS 18.5. Tested multiple live ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 channels. No recordings to test.

See this post. I know it applies to over-the-air reception. Not sure about CableCard.

VLC doesn't support the AC4 audio codec used by ATSC 3.0, so silence is to be expected with those channels.

For kicks, in VLC, you can compare Tools -> Codec Information for a few ATSC 3.0 channels and see if there are any big differences with the Kids channel. Normally you'll just see the HVEC and ...

What is the error message, if any? The other non-DRM 3.0 channels play okay, I take it? What is the station id / callsign (or channel number and location?)
